ABOUT

Jolene founded Aqua Mummies in 2016, and since then, she has been conducting regular classes whilst also working at Mater Dei Hospital as a full-time Midwife. Part of her Midwifery Degree studies took place in the United Kingdom and this is where she was first exposed to Aquanatal Classes. The passion for exercise and continued care throughout pregnancy sprouted. Bringing home her new found enthusiasm, Aqua Mummies was born!
After graduating as a midwife soon thereafter, Jolene attended specialised training in the United Kingdom to become the First Qualified Maltese Aquanatal Instructor. Her qualifications are also recognised by the Royal College of Midwives. With her smile and caring disposition, she will make sure that you’re confident and ready to face the big day.
Christina is a Registered Midwife and underwent her training at the University of Malta and Mater Dei Hospital. She has recently obtained her qualification as an Aquanatal Instructor in the United Kingdom. Her qualifications are also recognised by the Royal Collage of Midwives. Christina is also professionally trained in classical ballet, contemporary and modern theatre.
She weaves these two passions together in her Aquanatal sessions, to enhance the experience of expectant mothers in a safe and controlled environment. In her experience, Aquanatal classes provide desirable benefits such as improved sleep patterns, better circulation and mobility. This also leads to a more positive approach to the pregnancy, shifting focus from routine to actual bonding time with the baby. Ultimately this contributes to an easier and more pleasant childbirth.

Chanelle is a young, enthusiastic midwife, who has just acquired a first class honours Degree in Midwifery from the University of Malta after gaining ample work experience locally and overseas. Chanelle also currently works as a full-time midwife at Mater Dei Hospital.
Being extremely passionate about the provision of holistic maternity care; Chanelle soon acquired further qualification as an Aquanatal Instructor in the United Kingdom, so that she could guide and support women in remaining active throughout pregnancy. She strongly believes that aquanatal classes facilitate women in having a positive prenatal experience, leading to optimal birth outcomes which are beneficial for the entire family unit.
